Our employees are regularly trained, tested, retrained and retested on the primary elements of programs of GMP's, SSOP's, and HACCP. Our training schedules are documented and reviewed regularly to ensure we maintain high levels of preparedness and understanding of our industry leading programs.
Our in-house instructor led programs trains on more than 25 topics annually. Each newly hired employee must complete and pass our training programs and testing. Further, we employ outside consultants to work with our Trainers, helping to keep our practices leading edge and relevant. Our commitment to training has resulted in increased productivity, employee morale and even higher levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Optimal Facility Management
Norpac follows documented procedures and recordkeeping as an integral part of our sanitation program which includes general maintenance, pre / mid / post operative cleaning and sanitizing, pest control, water supply testing, equipment calibrations, temperature controlled environments with continuous monitoring (such as freezers and storage), and documented corrective actions.
Our facility maintains extremely high standards of temperature control (the coldest processing rooms in the industry), sanitation (including environmental testing), and documentation providing an auditable trail of our daily practices and procedures.
Norpac conducts regular internal, regulatory, and third-party independent audits. Auditing authorities and companies include, but are not limited to USDC, USDA, Federal FDA, State Department of Health, Silliker labs and customer internal audit teams.
Audits of our facilities, our products, and our practices and documentation is routine and regular. Our audit scores are within the top percentile of the industry, and lead Hawaii as the best run operation in the State.
